Plain English Summary
By using this website or submitting a project request, you agree to work with us in a clear and fair way. We design and build your website, host it on our infrastructure, and provide support for the agreed period. You only pay once you approve the draft. No hidden fees, no long contracts, no nonsense.
1. About Us
The Local Web provides custom website design and related digital services for small and local businesses. All services are provided remotely unless otherwise agreed.
2. Services
We design and build custom websites based on the information you provide in your project brief. All projects are scoped according to the package and details agreed at the time of purchase.
3. Project Process
Once you submit a project brief, we begin work on an initial draft. Draft timelines are estimates and may vary depending on feedback speed and project complexity.
Reasonable revisions are included as outlined in your package. Requests outside the original scope may require additional time or cost.
4. Payments
No payment is required until you have reviewed and approved the initial draft. Once approved, a 20% deposit is required before final build completion, as stated on the website or invoice.
Final payment is required only when the website is fully launched.
5. Hosting & Website Access
All websites are hosted on our managed infrastructure unless otherwise agreed. This allows us to ensure performance, security, updates, and ongoing support.
Full server or administrative handover is not provided by default. We retain access to the website in order to provide hosting, maintenance, and the included support period.
6. Support Period
Your website includes a support period as stated on the website or invoice. During this time, we may access the website to provide updates, fixes, or assistance.
Support does not include major redesigns or new features unless agreed separately.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, content, and assets required to complete your project. Delays in providing content or feedback may affect delivery timelines.
8. Ownership
Upon full payment, you own the website content and design created for you. Hosting, infrastructure, and third-party tools remain managed by us unless otherwise agreed.
Third-party services such as plugins, fonts, or tools remain subject to their own licenses and terms.
9. Analytics & Cookies
We do not use any cookies—neither essential nor non-essential—on this website. Your visit is entirely cookie-free.
10. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services including hosting providers, analytics tools, and plugins. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or issues caused by third-party services.

12. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business, revenue, or data. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the services provided.
